NU-SET celebrates 11th Freshers' Meet

School of Engineering & Technology (SET), Nagaland University, celebrated its 11th Freshers’ Meet on September 8 at IMC Hall, Dimapur.  

On the occasion, special invitee and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Albert Ezung, Additional Deputy Commissioner opined that the time has come to change our attitude towards education saying, “Knowledge is just not enough in today’s scenario.”  

“Students need to take responsibility and make effort to grow,” he maintained encouraging the students to “reignite the honesty, hardworking and hospitality characteristics of our forefathers.” Saying that the students are the key to a better Nagaland, he also urged them to strive towards it.  

Prof. SK Sharma, Dean NU-SET in his speech also encouraged the students to work hard and have a positive attitude. He further acknowledged the faculties for their dedication in imparting quality education.  

The event ended with the crowning of Keneizetuo Yahu and Yibeni Shantio Tsopoe as Mr. and Miss. Freshers 2018.
