Dimpur, October 25 (MExN): Nyenshen FC entered semifinals at the ongoing Loyem Memorial Trophy with a comprehensive 6-1 win over Hügel Hifliers FC at Loyem Memorial Ground on October 25.
Striker Imlong Chaba converted an early penalty in the 6th minute to lead his team before second half strikes from Rabindra in the 47th and 54th minute made it 3-0.
Hifliers’ midfielder Yongkhong Yemba’s long effort left the goalkeeper motionless as he burst into celebration after the strike.
However, Nyenshen FC’s late goals from Rabindra in the 86th minute to complete his hattrick and Kakhevi and Medovitho’s stikes in the 81 and 90 minutes made it 6-1.
The victory proofs Nyenshen as a strong contender with 15 goals in their four matches till now.
They will face either Foothill United FC or Vetao Aye FC in their next match on October 30.
