Official residence of DC Mon inaugurated

Mon, September 30 (DIPR): The official residence of Deputy Commissioner, Mon was inaugurated on September 29 with Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD, YM Yollow as the chief guest.  

The chief guest informed that construction of quarters and offices in the sub divisional level could not be implemented due to financial constrain in funding system, however, systematic execution of works at district HQs are being carried out. Exhorting the officers to work sincerely and honestly for the development and welfare of the people and society wherever they are posted, he said that their achievements will be like a souvenir to the people. Asserting that planning is the head and money a tail and wherever the head goes the tail follows, he suggested the gathering to adopt proper planning for systematic execution of any work.  

Er Swari Meru, Executive Engineer (CAWD) informed that the three storied RCC building constructed at the cost of 277 lakh has 20 rooms and parking space of 6-7 cars with separate rooms and kitchens for security guards, workers and guests.  

This is the first building constructed for the residence of the DC of the district. The earlier building was constructed for the then SDO (C), when Mon was under Tuensang district.
