Longleng, November 21 (MExN): The 44 Assam Rifles launched an operation along with a police representative at Shakchi village in Longleng district on November 20 and apprehended one Pongang Phom, 46 years, along with “war like stores”. The AR in a press release claimed that accused was working on behalf of the NSCN (K). The recoveries from the individual included 3 Country made pistol with magazine, 1 Country made Rifle with magazine, 2 Rifle barrel (Country made) and 16 live rounds. The accused along with the recovered items were handed over to Police Station Longleng for further investigation.
