One expelled from 7th Mile Model Village for alleged sexual misconduct on minor

DIMAPUR, JUNE 30 (MExN): A youth organization from 7th Mile Model Village, Chumukedima has expelled one Nasim Amibdin, aged 43 years and hailing from Bihar for alleged attempt to sexually harass a 16-year-old minor.

 

A press statement issued by 7th Mile Model Village Youth Organization president, Keneiletuo Zumvü, and secretary, Kevechulo Koza said the accused who also resides at 7th Mile Model Village attempted to commit sodomy on a minor boy on June 25, 2018. The accused also reportedly offered Rs 100 to the boy while asking him to come the next day.

 

The terrified boy narrated the ordeal to his mother who reported the matter to the GB of the village. During interrogation, the accused admitted that he molested the minor with the intention to commit sodomy, the press statement said.

 

The accused also attempted to commit crime of same nature on another minor boy of 13 years in December, 2016, the press statement claimed.

 

As such, after verifying the statement from the two victims and the confession of the accused, the village youth organization imposed fine on Nasim Amibdin and in consultation with the village council expelled him from the village and its jurisdiction with effect from June 25.

 

However, his family members are not expelled from the village on humanitarian ground considering the school going children, the press statement read.
