Wokha, February 25 (MExN): The Assam Rifles have claimed the recovery of liquor worth Rs. 2 lakhs from Niroyo Tri Junction, Wokha district on February 25. According to a defence press release, the Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an operation with police representative and recovered liquor worth Rs. 2 lakhs along with cash of Rs. 84,500. The recovered liquor includes 421 bottles of Mc Dowell Rum (750 ml), 236 bottles of Officer’s Choice (180 ml), 236 cans of Kingfisher Beer (500 ml), 96 bottles of Mc Dowell (180 ml). In this connection, one person identified as Rubongo Humtsoe alias Thomas, 64 years, was arrested. The recoveries were subsequently handed over to Wokha Police Station.
