Dimapur, August 15 (MExN): The Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd (NSCB Ltd) and NABARD celebrated the 65th Independence Day at the NSCB HO Complex. B.K. Thadani, MD, NSCB addressed the gathering and the National Flag was unfurled by Dr U S Saha, General Manager, NABARD. Employees of some other banks, NGO, social workers also participated, light refreshment was arranged by GM, NABARD, informed a press note issued by Nodal Officer (MFC) V K Disong.
Meanwhile, in commemoration of Independence Day, the Gorkha Public Panchayat, Kohima distributed food packets to all the patients and nurses of the Naga Hospital, Kohima. A 35-member team of the Gorkha Community led by President GPP (K), B.B.Gurung, and all sister NGOs including Gorkha Mahila Samity, Students Union, Gorkha Youth Association, Vivela Club, GBs and senior members visited the Naga Hospital.
The team was welcomed by nursing superintendent of Naga Hospital and, on behalf of the Naga Hospital authority, she expressed gratitude to the visiting members. Followed by a brief prayer, the visiting members went around all the wards and distributed the food packets and also wished all the patients speedy recovery, informed a press note issued by vice president of GPP (K) Nobin Pradhan.
Also, on the occasion of 65th Indian Independence Day at the State capital, Kohima, visitation of institutions by various organizations was carried out. They are as follows:

3. Kohima Orphanage - Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN)
