The release stated that the Green Valley School is a small residential school and is the only residential school in entire Ahthibung Sub division. “Maximum students come from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families and most of the children suffer domestic instability, due to their parent’s life styles,” it added.

It also stated that there is no proper medical infrastructure to cater to their illness. “During monsoon, situations get worse when road connectivity is affected by heavy rain,” it said, further stating that even the villagers, especially old and women of the village find themselves wanting for basic medical assistance.
