Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) Naga Council Dimapur held a meeting on the proposed bandh to be observed on December 10 from 5.00 am to 5.00 pm in Dimapur district in protest against the Riven Honda shooting case and the multiple criminal activities and have drawn up the action plans for the bandh.
The PAC NCD in a press release issued by its media cell said that the tribal bodies are to arrange youth volunteers to enforce the bandh.
It has also informed that a briefing for the volunteers will be held on December 8 at Naga Council office at 11-00 am. Therefore, two youth leaders from each community are requested to attend for collections of information. The PAC has also requested the public to give cooperation and support for the bandh to be a peaceful one.
In the interest of the public, on the bandh day, hospitals, wedding participants with cards and sticker, funeral duty, para military, District administrations, Police, students on examinations duty, press and media personals will be exempted.
Meanwhile, the tribal hoho leaders are assigned to arrange their respective youth and maintain discipline for the successful conduct of the bandh.
