PAN deliberates issues confronting prosecutors of State

Kohima, August 19 (MExN): The Prosecutors’ Association Nagaland (PAN) held its annual general meeting for the year 2019 on August 17 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima.


PAN, Assistant General Secretary, Abraham Dazo in a press release stated that the house discussed various issues confronting the prosecutors of the State and decided to pursue the resolutions adopted in the meeting with the appropriate authority. It deliberated in detail the recommendations for improvement of the prosecution system in India on the basis of the outcome of First National conference of Prosecution Officers held at Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT) Bhopal, MP on March 1 and 2, 2019.


The house unanimously agreed and adopted the recommendations made from the conference and resolved to propose and request the State Government to consider the recommendations made in the interest of criminal justice system in the State.


The programme was chaired by PAN, Vice President, Kenile Kent while President, Hutoi Yeptho delivered the welcome address. The General Secretary and Finance Secretary, Sashilemba and Temsunaro Jamir gave their respective reports.
