Peace club leaders and members attend training

Peren, April 18 (MExN): Peace Channel conducted training for the peace club leaders and members with the theme ‘Change your mind, Change your life’ on April 15 at St. Xavier Hr Sec School Auditorium Jalukie, Peren district.

While speaking to the leaders, Janthuiyang RK John, Project Coordinator Peace Channel said, to change one need to change the pattern of our thinking. All the peace channel members were exhorted to think critically which is not taught normally in the schools. He further added we should think bigger than our environment and still greater than our circumstances in life. He encouraged the participants to create positive affirmation and count the joys and blessings they received. He quoted Melody Beattie who said “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” He concluded his session by strongly affirming that change is possible if we can change our thinking.

Elow Chaza, said technology addiction, excess socialization, unhealthy sleeping habit and poor motivation are the four common problems which hampered the young people of the present days. He strongly puts in that excess to addiction and ill habits result to poor performance in studies and healthy life. Speaking on motivation he said it’s a desire to aspire to achieve something worthwhile. He said to be motivated towards something one need to set a goal which is specific, measurable, achievable, rational and time bound. The program that began with an invocation by Rev. Fr. Anthony Samy, Principal St. Xavier Hr Sec School ended with a concluding remark by Lirie, Head Master Christian Mission School. Altogether 75 students and four teachers attended the program.
