Peren: CMO stresses to prioritise monthly meetings

Dimapur, May 11 (MExN): The Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) office, Peren held its district review meeting on May 8 at CMO office conference hall, New Peren.


CMO Dr. Denis Hangsing, who chaired the meeting, stressed that monthly meeting should be given utmost priority for disseminating information and communicating with one another. He also urged to maintain sincerity at the work posting.


A press release from the Media Officer, CMO office Peren, Pezanguno Celine Secü further informed that Dr. Supongmenla, Deputy CMO highlighted about the Mission Indradhanush and Ayushman Bharat Divas – Pradhan Mantri National Health Protection Mission (PMNHPM) status of the district and requested the health workers to do the needful at the earliest.


Meanwhile, Elizabeth, DPM, urged the concerned health workers and Medical Officers to regularly conduct, monitor and supervise Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND), which is held in villages every month.


Dr. Yetovi, DPO RCH/UIP briefed last month’s Mission Indradhanush status, stating that the initial performance needed improvement. He called upon all health workers for quality workmanship and timely submission of micro-plan.


Dr. Limatula, DPO, NVBDCP highlighted about the upcoming Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) fortnight observance from May 15- 27, 2018 to be held at Jalukie & Athibung Block and Peren Town.


Visevino Khrieo, Project Officer, Project AHANA under GFTAM in coordination with NACO & SACS highlighted the goals to increase uptake of PPTCT service to promote periphery level HIV screening among Pregnant women (PW) as part of ANC for early identification of positive PW in linking them with PPTCT services.


The objectives are to improve HIV testing among PW and effective reporting system both in public and private sectors and to ensure linkages and retention to ART treatment of HIV+PW and their children, she added. Need for work coordination with the department for the success of the project was also emphasised.


The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, District Programme Officers, Nurses, Pharmacist, DAPCU staff, District and Block Program Management Unit Staff NHM.


The press release added that the next review meeting will be held on June 5, 2018.
