Peren, April 15 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning and Development Board was held under the Chairmanship of Minister Planning & Co-ordination & Vety., & AH, T.R. Zeliang at Baudi Hall Jalukie on April 13.
The Board discussed the following new agenda during the meeting: Construction of Horticulture link road at Old Jalukie Village was recommended and endorsed to Horticulture Department for necessary action; Up-gradation of GMS Samziuram to Government High School was approved in principle and DEO Peren was entrusted to initiate action for onward submission to Government and Construction of footstep at ward 4 and ward 5 Jalukie Town and construction of storage pond at Bana Colony Peren were approved and endorsed to Urban Development Department. Power point presentation was given by District Sericulture Officer, Peren on the various activities of the department, and its plan for 2011-12. NGO, ASER Peren also presented its Annual Education status report of Peren District.
As decided earlier, mass tree plantation at Model Township Peren, will be held on April 30. The board also informed all the Departments, NGO’s and School children from Peren and Jalukie to participate in the tree plantation.
