Peren, February 10 (DIPR): The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on February 9 at old DC office conference hall here. The Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairperson of the board, Smita Sarangi, IAS, chaired the meeting.
Sarangi told the members that as a nodal officer of the department in the district, each HoD is responsible for the co-operation of their staff in the overall performance for the election. She further requested the members to attend the meetings regularly.
ADC Chubawati Chang, who is in-charge of manpower management and vehicle requisition for the election, informed that the district is facing shortage of vehicles and barely has enough manpower and that exemption is impossible.
The board also deliberated on the issue of housing facilities for the staff and officers at the extended headquarter and decided to approach HUDCO for construction of a complex type building.
