Peren edu. Board refutes charges

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): An organization, Peren District Education Board, today refuted the claims of Zeliangrong Union of Nagaland that no organization by in the name of the form exists in Peren and raised questioned about money being collected by the said board.
A note from the board said today that the organization was formed on July 23, 2011 in Jalukie Town Council Hall. “The emergency meeting was convened by WEC Chairman, Jalukie town sector ‘C’ to discussed the matter relating to transfer of posting retention of teacher within Peren district, after giving wide information to all the concern and the said meeting circular was even published in Nagaland Post on 22nd July 2011. The meeting was attended by 42 towns and villages consisting of town councils, village council chairmen, village education committee and ward education committee representing their respective villages and towns,” the note said. The note was appended by the board’s Chairman KK Kulimbe Zeliang and Treasurer Hangau Hau and three other circle representatives.
After a prolonged discussion about the transfer posting and retention of teachers, the meeting unanimously resolved to form an organization to take up the matter, and the house adopted a resolution to use the name and style of PDEB, the note said.
The board said the Zeliang People’s Organization, Zeliang Students’ Union and Zeliangrong regional Students’ Union attended the meeting, “but your organization have failed to turn up may be due to some unavoidable circumstances, but we never expect such a cheap statement from the so called apex body.”
“Therefore, firstly we may be kindly excused if we hurt you, but to us and the organization, it is too small for ZB (N) who claimed to be an apex body to involve in kitchen problem whereas there are a numbers of major issues to be dealt with. Secondly, ZB (N) is always welcome to meet any of the office bearers to clear their doubts instead of popularizing by publishing in the local news papers,” the board said.
The board also reminded the Zeliangrong Union that in a democratic country any organization can be formed, exist and function if the people think right.
“Fourthly, you have even mentioned that PDEB is collecting money from the common people, please note very clear that we are not collecting money from any individuals, we are submitting the fixed amount as registration fee of VEC/WEC to the Peren District Education Board as resolved by the house on 23rd  July 2011,” the board added.
The ZB (N) is asked not to publish ‘cheap matter’ in the Media in future. “As mentioned above we shall avail ourselves any time any where as desired by you if required in connection with the formation of PDEB and even to take your valuable advices and guidance for the interest and benefit of the people of Peren district,” the board added.
