Peren holds district review meeting cum workshop

Peren, February 9 (MExN): The Chief Medical Office, Peren District under the chairmanship of Dr Denis Hangsing, CMO held its district review meeting on February 7 at Conference Hall, Chief Medical Office, New Peren.
The meeting was attended by the district programme officers, medical officers, nurses, pharmacist, DAPCU staff, district and block programme management unit staff NHM.


Addressing the gathering, Dr Hangsing gave a brief note on the meeting agendas. He reiterated about the resolution which has been made for absenteeism during the review meeting that penalty has to be given by the concerned staff. He informed regarding leave that all leaves should be through proper channel through the concerned Medical Officers in charge and then to the Chief Medical Officer and in written. Highlighting about the order given for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, he urged all to maintain sincerity at work and requested everyone to be at their place of posting.


Elizabeth, DPM informed that the State Health Agency (Ayushman Bharat - National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM/ PMJAY) Scheme) in collaboration with Apollo Munich Insurance Company will be conducting a Beneficiary Identification Drive (BIS Drive) for identification of AB- PMJAY beneficiaries, and in addition will conduct basic health check up camp and distribute free medicines at CHC Jalukie on February 12. She also informed about the training on Bio-waste Management which will be held in all the 4 blocks. Elizabeth requested all the Health Units/workers to submit the new format for VHND and to do away with the old one and to ensure quality reporting.


The DPM also gave a power point presentation on National Health Mission workings and its human resource: the roles and responsibilities in the District.


District Level Workshop on National Immunization Day (NID) was also conducted by Dr Nukshisangla Jamir, District Program Officer UIP/RCH, who highlighted about the NID - Global and National Polio Update: Surveillance: AFP surveillance & Environmental surveillance; Current risks to polio program in India; Polio Eradication & Endgame Strategic Plan 2013-18: Identification & Planning for High Risk Areas: Micro planning: Review of Micro plans for Strengthening SIA Quality: Planning trainings, ensuring intersectoral coordination and effective supervision. She further informed that IPPI will be held on March 10. The next review meeting is fixed on March 5.
