PEREN, April 27 (MExN): With the theme, ‘End Malaria for Good’, the World Malaira Day (WMD) at Peren was held at ADC Conference Hall Peren on April 25 under the chairmanship ADC Peren S Tainiu and key note address by CMO Peren, Dr. Ngangshimeren
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in his address raised the concern about the massive task ahead for eradication of Malaria and appealed to all to work hand in hand with the Department to achieve the goal ‘End malaria for Good’. Ending malaria will produce healthy, stronger society and economy and make the world a safer place for future generation, he stressed.
During the Dr. K. Limatula Ao, DVBO declared the winners of the Sanitation Drive conducted in all the 9 Wards of Peren Town and prize money was given by ADC Peren.
The Joint Action Committee on WMD headed by ADC Peren as Chairman and comprising of CMO, all programme officers and all ward Chairman had selected PTBC Pastor Haiku Nza,; EAC Peren Tsidi; and Dr. Limatula Ao for inspection and judging of the sanitation drive.
The Ward Chairman Union Peren Town President Lungrahei while appreciating the department initiative also requested all to continue the activity in daily life as basic necessity, informed Pezanguno Celine Secii, the District Media Officer, Chief Medical Office, Peren in a press note.
