Pfütsero public meeting resolves on Clean Election & liquor prohibition

Pfütsero, October 3 (MExN): Hundreds of women, town leaders and church members attended the general meeting oragnised by the Pfütsero Town Mothers’ Association (PTMA) with the public on October 2. The speakers were Phuzühü Vero, Ward Chairman Convener, Pfütsero; Neingupeü Kazhie-Rhakho, Women Secretary, CBCC, Dr. Kuzhopoyo Tünyi, Convener, Chakhesang Clean Election Movement Core Committee and Zhonelü Tünyi, President, PTMA.  

Stressing on Clean Election, the speakers appealed to the public to stay away from corruptions of buying and selling of votes. The PTMA appealed to all the individuals and government authorities to cooperate and support to stop the inflow of liquor in and around Pfütsero Town.  

PTMA in a press release said that the meeting resolved that if any conflict or problems arises due to consumption of alcohol, the alcohol seller will be penalized with a fine of Rs 5,000 will be imposed for the first offence; fine of Rs 20,000 will be imposed for the second offence; In the third offence he/she will be expelled from Pfütsero town.  

Any one either residing at Pfütsero Town or coming from different villages are found drunk and creating any problem at Pfütsero Town will be handed over to the police to be kept in the police custody for 24 hours, it stated.  

Any conflict which arises between villages and creating problem at Pfütsero Town will be penalized according to the resolution of the Town Council. All the concern citizens of Pfütsero are requested to adhere to the resolutions and maintain peace in the Town. All the GBS and Ward Chairmen assured full support to the resolutions of PTMA.
