Phek MMU provides health care services in 11 villages

Phek, September 11 (MExN): The National Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) team Phek provided health care services in 11 villages during the month of August as part of MMU monthly activities.


The team comprised of Dr Martin, MO Lozaphuhu; Dr Kuosalhou, MO Khuza; Zasetsolu, Lab-Tech and Kiviholi, MMU Nurse informed a press release issued by District Media Officer, Phek. 


Total of 762 patients availed the services out of which 42 patients were referred to higher facilities,70 Ante-Natal cases were seen, Lab-tests for blood sugar, pregnancy test and HB% estimation for all ANC cases, collection of blood smears/RDT test for malaria and sputum collection for TB were also carried out.


Health talks were given on Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) and home management on Diarrhoea.


The villages covered by the MMU team were Kutsapo, Phugi, K Bawe, Thenizu, Pholami, Gidemi, Thetsumi, Zelome, Akhen and Kanjan.
