Phek Town honours  its sanitary workers
ADC Phek Mhathung Tsanglao and SDO(C) Nilezo Tep with others during the Swachhata Pakhwada and felicitation programme held on October 11.


Phek, October 11 (MExN): The sanitary workers of Phek Town Council (PTC) and Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) were felicitated today for their exemplary work in sanitation and wastes management.


The sanitary workers were conferred complete sets of sanitary kits and a certificate of appreciation and a sum of Rs. 20,000/- was given to PTYS.


They were honoured during the observation of Swachhata Pakhwada and felicitation programme organised by PTC on October 11.


During the occasion, ADC Phek Mhathung Tsanglao also explained the objective of Swachhata Pakhwada to the gathering.


Addressing the gathering SDO(C) Phek, Nilezo Tep said that Swachhata Pakhwada is cleanliness “inside out” and carried out to sensitize and ensure good health and hygiene by creating awareness on clean and safe environment.


He also lauded the sanitary workers for their untiring and committed works and the PTYS for their incessant sanitation drive under Clean Green Operation.


Nuyi Hoshi, Convenor Clean Green Operation shared in brief on the upcoming action plan of PTYS.


The programme chaired by Suyiengoyi Soho, Inspector, PTC was attended by Colonies Chairman, GB’s and several youths according to a press note received here.
