PNF begins data collection on orphans infected with HIV

• 20 orphans identified so far in Dimapur district • Appeals for support in identifying HIV-infected orphans

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): The Dimapur based People In Need Foundation (PNF), in continuation of its commitment to People Living with HIV & AIDS, has started data collection on orphans (single and double) infected with HIV from January 2017 for Dimapur district as of now.

PNF Chairman, Joe Ngamkhuchung informed that the organization has confidentially identified and verified data of 20 orphans infected with HIV already in Dimapur district.   The purpose of the data collection is to eventually use it for providing a long term “home-based care support” to the orphans in health care, education and nutrition, Joe said.

The organization has appealed to all concerned guardians of the orphans and any individual with some information to support in identification of any HIV-infected orphan (boy or girl) by contacting the staff doing the survey. They will follow up with the call and reach for data collection of the orphans, it was informed. The PNF Chairman reiterated that the information will be confidential.
