Phek Dist Health Society holds review meeting
Phek, July 7 (MExN): District Health Society Phek held its review meeting for the upcoming programme on World Population Day and Population Stabilization Fortnight to be observed from July 11 to 24 under the theme ‘Start a meaningful tomorrow with family planning.’
Dr. Laso Lazar, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Phek in his speech called upon the health workers to improve in reporting system as it reflects the performance status of the district. He urged the staffs to submit the documentation and report on time.
In the welcome address, Dr. Vethihulu Dy.CMO challenged the health workers to be available in their posting place and be sincere in their duties.
Dr. Kolhitso Khalo District Program Officer (DPO) RCH-UIP Phek highlighted the overview activities to be organised during the Population Stabilization Fortnight. He informed that mobilization fortnight had started from June 27 and will continue till July 10. He requested the Medical Officers, Block ASHA coordinators, ANMs, IEC staffs and Block Program Manager to continue mobilizing the community under their jurisdiction. He directed the Block Officials to conduct counselling on Family Planning and motivate the target couple to opt for any Family Planning method during the fortnight. The activities such as distribution of IEC materials on Family Planning, condoms and oral contraceptive pills will be done in all the health units.
The meeting was attended by Block SMOs, MOs, BAMs, BPMs, BAC and NHM staffs.
