DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN): The power department has informed that with regard to the ongoing repair/maintenance work at 66KV Mokokchung-Tuli transmission line, due to deterioration of the existing insulators and conductors within 3 numbers of span along this line, replacement of the insulators and conductors will be taken up. “There is a possibility that total power shutdown from Sunday 6:00am (even at night) till Monday 6:00pm if a part of the work could not be completed due to technical or weather condition or both (i.e 36 hours continuous shutdown),” a press note from the Mokokchung Transmission Division said. It therefore asked the affected customers under Mon and Longleng Districts and also Changtongya and Tuli area under Mokokchung District to bear with the inconvenience.
