Practice what you preach

The call given by NPCC President K.Therie recently wherein, he wished that all could understand.

"My Vote is my future, your vote is your future and our vote is our future" and that bogus vote ruins the future, while lauding CEO's Nagaland initiative. And Therie stated that accepting bribe for Vote was accepting the sale of our future and no lesser than prostitution.

He also said that having registered multiple vote shows that one is a liar, and that voting by the under- aged would bring curse upon one's future.

Here the NPCC seems to be urging the BLO's and BLA's  to strictly follow and adhere to the law during authentication so that there will be no bogus votes. And that all entries pertaining to the name and age should be properly authenticated. Therie also wished that the people of Nagaland live up to the expectation of a Christian state during purification of the voter list.   As true as it may be that accepting bribe and selling of vote be compared to prostitution, the question here is "who is to be blame? Is it the giver or, it is the receiver?"

Now with this practise of bribery, who is the actual offender? Why are voters blamed when the political goons go all out to bribe (by hook or by crook) the voters to win in election? Instead, practise what you preached and preach what is being practiced and stop the menace themselves and not blame their own deeds openly.

The other question is, can the BLO's and BLA's exercise its discretion without any political pressure or interference.

Can fair authentication and purification be achieved along with wiping out of underage voting? Will fair voting take place without the practice of bribery in the upcoming general election due in 2018 inspite of the many purification and authentication process going on till date?
