Pranab Vidyapith conducts annual prize giving ceremony

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 2 (MExN): Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School Dimapur, observed the Annual Prize-Giving Ceremony 2017-18 which was held in Pranab Jubilee Auditorium on January 1.  

The Auditorium was packed to its full with Rev. Swamijis, dignitories, parents, guardians, teachers, students & well-wishers. The stage was tastefully decorated. The programme started at 2:00 PM onwards and continued to 7:30 PM. The programme opened with universal peace prayer by the students of the vidyapith.  

After peace prayer, all the Swamijis accompanied with other dignitories garlanded to the portrait of Acharya Srimat Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj, founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha which was followed by floral tributes to Late Manik Bhattacharjee, the founder Secretary of PVHSS & his associate members Late Hari Pada Sarkar, Late K. P. Nandi, Late Ashutosh Chakraborty & Late Makhan Das. Just after floral tribute, all the Rev. Swamijis lightened the lamp. 

Sagar Dey of Cl-4 & Shrehadeep Malakar of Cl-10 presented a very attractive sketch of Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj. Just after that, Monoj Bhattacharjee, Principal of the Vidyapith read out the Annual Report of the school, 2017. He also gave all information about the school in brief.  

Lakshman Chandra Das, founder Headmaster of the School delivered an inspirational speech in midst of the huse gatherings. After Headmaster’s speech ‘The Pranabam’- the Annual School Magazine 2017-18 was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Biswapremanandaji Maharaj, Assistant Secretary, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Incharge of Jalpaiguri B.S.S & President of All India Hindu Milan Mandir Central Committee who was the Chief Guest of the function and Guest of Honour, Srimat Swami Dhyaneshanandaji Maharaj, Chairman of PVHSS accompanied with the Principal, Vice-Principal, the Editor, Jt.-Editors and other dignitories on the dais.  

Srimat Swami Biswapremanandaji Maharaj showered words of blessings to all in the gathering. Srimat Swami Dhyaneshanandaji Maharaj, Chairman of PVHSS, expressed his utmost satisfaction for the various performance of the school. He also wished Godspeed.  

Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of the school, thanked all present for gracing the occasion with their kind presence and co-operation. After speech portion, academic prizes were given to meritorious students for their outstanding results. There were special prizes for cent-percent attendance to the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.  

As soon as the meeting portion was over, there was a variety performance. It consisted of songs, dances, recitations, a playlet etc. Each of the item was presented very successfully. It pleased all present. Every face looked gay and content. The gala-day of the school came to an end with medley.  

The meeting portion was conducted by Dilip Das, Asstt. Teacher and Gourab Deb, Cl-10 conducted the cultural programme.
