Pranab Vidyapith HSS bid farewell to teachers

Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur on January 31 bid farewell to four teachers – Lakshman Chandra Das, founder Headmaster, Navojyoti Datta, Ratna Bhattacharjee and Renuka Roy Chowdhury, the senior most teachers of the institution.

A press note issued by the school stated that the birth anniversary of Acharya Srimat Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj, the founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, is observed every year on the occasion of Maghi Purnima.  

“This day will be marked henceforth in the history of the school as also the year when the school bade fare-well of its most veteran teachers, thereby honouring their selfless and devoted services during the tenure in the institution,” the note added.  

The programme started with the universal peace prayer and the traditional garlanding of the portrait of Pranabanandaji Maharaj and floral tribute to the founder Secretary, Late Manik Bhttacharjee and his associate members, followed by the lightening of the lamp.

  The introductory speech was delivered by Monoj Bhattacharjee, Principal, PVHSS. The outgoing teachers also spoke during the programme.  

Special performances and speeches were presented by the students and teachers of the institutions. The day ended with words of blessings by Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of PVHSS & I/c Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Dimapur and Karbi-Anglong district, Assam.
