Programme on RTI held in Phek 

Phek, November 21 (MExN): A programme on Right to Information (RTI) was held at Phek Town Hall to sensitize the public of Phek Town on November 20.  A DIPR report stated that the Deputy commissioner Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS said RTI is a tool for every citizen of the state for effective information.


State Information Commissioner Nagaland, Kevizatouo Miachieo in his introductory speech said that RTI is an act to provide right information for citizens to secure information and also in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority. Miachieo urged the public to apply for legal rights information for the purposes of healthier society reimbursement and not as for individual benefits. Further he said that RTI is the fundamental right of the public to make sure whether working machinery of state is at quality.


Kevizatou Miachio and GH Ramlia, State Information Commissioner the "Compendium of Office Memorandum" and "Analysis Report". Powerpoint presentation on RTI was given by Worhothung Ezung, Deputy Secretary which was followed by interactions with participants. Dr. Vizovol Mekro, Principal, PGC, Phek gave the vote of thanks.
