Meluri, November 11 (MExN): Pochury Students’ Union (PSU) has condemned what it termed as immature act of Major Lopong from GPRN/NSCN in threatening Shapongtsü, Chairman of Lüruri Development Council (LDC) on November 4 at Süsü village under Meluri sub-division.
The union in a statement issued by its president, Er. Joyson Pfithu questioned the GPRN/NSCN authority “how such individual in the name of a nation worker has the authorization to threaten or murder any public leader in the mere interest of an individual.” It has appealed to the authority of GPRN/NSCN to investigate and take stern action against its cadre. “We cannot tolerate such activities of our nation worker for self interest,” PSU stated.
Meanwhile, PSU supported Lüruri Students' Union (LSU) for “bringing out such unwanted activities that would hamper our peaceful living and a sense of insecurity under the hands of our national worker.” The union further appealed to all NPGs to restrain themselves from such activities and to be vigilant upon its cadre so as to avoid such incident/accident. It asked to let the innocent civilians live in peace and harmony.
