A quick response to RSS Chief Mohan Bagwat

Kaka D. Iralu With reference to RSS Chief Bhagwat’s statement at the Hindu Rashtra at Guwati on Sunday, I wish to give the following rejoinder:   1. Bagwat had claimed “We have internal unity based on Hindutva and that is why India is a Hindu Rashtra. He further went on to say: “India gives the world the message of humanity.” What I want to ask Bagawat is this: Not to talk about unity of Hinduism’s myriads of gods and goddesses, what unity is there even between Advaita philosophy and these myriads of gods and goddesses? Advaita philosophy of Hinduism of course claim that the individual spirit “Atman “and the Universal spirit “Brahman” are ultimately one and the same thing. This amounts to saying that man is ultimately God himself. Hinduism therefore is a contradiction and disunity between the myriads of gods and man himself who is God. On top of this, there is the curse of the caste system which divides humanity into categories of higher and lower human beings all serving the Brahman caste at the top of the hierarchy. Is this what your HINDUTVA RASHTRA had gifted humanity with?   2. Secondly, who is the name of the titular Naga tribal king who is supposed to have attended your Hindu Rashtra at Guwahati along with many other tribal kings? You may not know it, but in our ancient Naga democracy of equality, we have never ever been ruled by any King whatsoever. Please do not therefore, insult us by trying to include us,( Nagas), under your Hindutva umbrella.
