Rampant burning of jungle in Peren banned

Peren, May 1 (MExN): In continuation to the DC office order No JUDL/WL/JD-1/03-04/1224 dated 30/08/11 and as per the decision of the DPDB Peren on 15/04/14, fishing, hunting of wild animals and birds in any forms including air guns and burning of jungle continued to be banned in Peren District till further order.

All Village Councils have been authorised to identify the defaulters and a fine of Rs 5000 shall be imposed against them. This was discussed on May 1 at DC’s Conference Hall New DC Complex Peren, stated a DIPR report.

DC Peren, Sarita Yadav IAS convened a co-ordination meeting with regard to rampant burning of jungle in and around Peren. DC highlighted 2014 DPDB resolution and read out in detail wherein ban on hunting, fishing and rampant burning of jungle in the District was resolved earlier to upkeep as a guardian to all.

DFO Jalukie deliberated about the danger and preventive measures to save the areas from fire. The District Administration have instructed the Village Council Chairman, GBs and public leaders to take extra care about the danger of reckless burning of jungle in the district. During the meeting views were exchanged and deliberated at length on the issue.
