Ranji Trophy: M’laya score 268 on day 1 against Nagaland

The Nagaland and Meghalaya teams with officials before the start of their Ranji Trophy test match at the NCA Stadium, Sovima on December 9.

 

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): Meghalaya put up 268 runs at stumps on day one of the Ranji Trophy match against Nagaland at the Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium, Sovima on December 9. 


Nagaland won the toss and elected to field first. Meghalaya lost 9 wickets in the 90 overs on the first day of the match. Punit Bisht scored 125 runs, while Sanjay and Nokhlaw contributed 61 and 34 runs each. 


For Nagaland, Imliwati shined with a spectacular 7 wickets haul. Stuart Binny and Tahmeed bagged a wicket each as well. 


Play will resume on Tuesday at 8:25am. 


The opening of the match was graced by DC Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi. A delegation from Meghalaya Cricket Association led by general secretary, Gedieon K was also present along with the officials of Nagaland the Cricket Association.
