Ranji Trophy: Nagaland trail Puducherry by 219 runs

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 14 (MExN): Nagaland trail Puducherry by 219 runs at stumps of day 3 in their Ranji Trophy match on February 14.

 

Following a total of 625 runs set by Puducherry, Nagaland were at 230 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 59 overs at the end of day 3. 

 

Nagaland captain, Jonathan Rongsen scored 86 runs while Stuart Binny scored 43 runs. For Puducherry, Santhamoorthy bagged 3 wickets

 

Meanwhile in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy for the Under-23s, Odisha trailed Nagaland by 168 runs at the end of day one at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima.

 

Nagaland were put in to bat first, and were bowled out for 193 runs in 56.2 overs. Nikhil was Nagaland’s top scorer with 90 runs.

 

Odisha were at 25 runs, not having lost a wicket in 15 overs as day one came to an end.

 

The Nagaland Cricket Association meanwhile informed that the Nagaland Senior Women’s team is leaving on February 15 for the One Day tournament of the Plate Group to be held at Pondicherry from February 18 to March 11.

 

The under 19 Nagaland  Girls team is also leaving on February 15 via Guwahati to Kadapa in Andra Pradesh for the Plate Group one day matches from February 19 to March 12.
