RANJI TROPHY: Skipper Jonathan’s double ton leads Nagaland comeback against Bihar

Nagaland Captain Jonathan Rongsen scored a double century as Nagaland drew their Ranji Trophy match against Bihar on January 22.

 

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 22 (MExN): Nagaland made an impressive comeback today led by a talismanic performance from captain Jonathan Rongsen who scored a double century to draw their Ranji Trophy match against Bihar at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima. 

 


Chasing Bihar’s 509 runs, Nagaland scored 444 on day four, losing 4 wickets in 91.5 overs, managing to draw the match.  

 


The Nagaland skipper played a captain’s knock ringing in 200 runs while SS Mundhe and India internation Stuart Binny also contributing 81 and 94 runs respectively. 

 


Meanwhile, in the Under-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy, Mizoram trailed Nagaland by 138 runs by stumps of day 2.
