‘Ray of hope,’ NCD hails NSCN (IM), NNPGs ‘joint declaration’

Dimapur, January 22 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) today hailed the exulted the NSCN (IM) and NNPGs leadership for putting their hearts and minds together to cement their understanding for Naga Political Solution on January 14.

The NCD is exalted with the joint declaration which would take forward the “peace process dialogue between Nagas and Government of India for early solution which is deemed honorable and inclusive,” stated the Council in a press release issued by its President Etsungmomo Kikon and General Secretary LK Peter Anal.

“The dark eclipse of skeptical for Naga political Solution is disappearing and a ray of hope is set in the minds of Nagas when such praiseworthy and mutual understanding is developed and reached out between Naga Political groups,” it maintained.  

In this connection, the NCD appealed both the NSCN (IM) and NNPGs to firmly uphold the sanctity and integrity of joint declaration and resolve the imbroglio of Naga political issue. 

‘The NCD longs and wishes to see that this joint declaration is translated into reality for which NCD has been thriving and craving,’ it stated. 

The council also lauded the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), founded on Christian Principle, for the outstanding mission thus far and assured its cooperation to forum in the process of Naga Reconciliation till the final goal is reached once and for all.

It further noted that the brunt of evil effects of multiple Naga Political factors are directly faced by the public and business communities of Dimapur in the form of multiple taxations and other forceful tax collections.

Accordingly, the NCD will promptly co-operate with any Naga Civil Organisations which ‘initiates people’s pressure for early Naga political solution,’ it added.
