Dimapur, September 18 (MEXN): The Rongmei Baptist Men Fellowship of Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland (RBCAN) organised a gospel sports meet under the theme “Strive to Win for the Prize” – (1 Corinthians 9:24) from September 13-15 at Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, Peren.
A total of 20 teams and 200 players from different churches and fellowships of RBCAN participated in three-day long sports meet, a press release by Jaogailung Gangmei, Men Secretary in-charge, RBCAN informed. The competed in the discipline of football and volleyball.
Mhainamtsi Church won the championship in football while the runners-up went to Samziuram Church. In volleyball, Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie won the championship. The runners-up were taken by Rongmei Baptist Fellowship, Jalukie Rongkaidai.
Chingkhiulung Gonmei, President, Rongmei Council Nagaland, who was the guest speaker in the opening ceremony, emphasized on the theme of the gospel sports meet, and exhorted the men folk “to be faithful, have self discipline and strive to win for the prize,” the release said.
