EUUN inducts women affairs Secy

Kohima, August 31 (MExN):
The Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) in its emergency meeting held on 30th August 2011 has inducted Kevisesienuo Vizo as the Secretary, Women Affairs for the rest of the tenure.  In this regard, the newly inducted is directed to submit joining report and assume responsibilities and promote the aims and objectives of the union.

Khonoma Rüffüno, Kohima 67th anniversary

Kohima, August 31 (MExN):
The Khonoma Rüffüno, Kohima will be observing its 67th anniversary on September 1 at The Heritage, Kohima from 10:00 am onwards. The programme will be lead by Meto Khate, president Khonoma Rüffüno, Kohima. Khrielie Kevichüsa, Retd IAS will speak on the occasion.

Pre- teachers’ day celebration

Kohima, August 31 (MExN):
The Ward Education Committee and students of Government Primary School, Porterlane Colony Kohima is organizing pre-teachers day celebration cum 25th teacher- incharge anniversary of Kikruneiü Kire on September 2 at 9:00 am at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. Zaveyi Nyekha, District Education Officer cum District Co-ordinator DMA (SSA) Kohima will grace the occasion as resource person. The programme will be chaired by Shürhovol Naleo, chairman Ward Education Committee.

Sangtam Union Kohima to celebrate Mongmong

Kohima, August 31 (MExN):
Along with the rest of the Sangtam community, the Sangtam Union Kohima will be celebrating the Mongmong festival on September 3 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama. Toshi Aier, additional chief secretary and finance commissioner will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The festival will be marked by Lomi (folk) song competition representing six different areas of Sangtam and folk dance by Khiamnungan cultural club, Kohima. Mongmong Festival 2011 is being hosted by Theose Thongtsar, s/o late Yopkyu Thongtsar, ex- minister in association with the Sangtam Union, Kohima. All the Sangtam-in-laws and well wishers have been invited to the celebration. This was stated in a release issued by SUK president Seopi Sangtam.

Sumi Region GPRN/NSCN informs

Dimapur, August 31 (MExN):
The Sumi Region of GPRN/NSCN has stated that it has been reported that a number of anti-social elements are harassing business establishments and offices under Sumi Region, demanding taxation and donations tarnishing the good image of GPRN/NSCN. There is a clear directive issued to all the national workers not to indulge in demands and donations under any circumstances. GPRN/NSCN has appealed to business establishments, offices and the general public in Sumi region not to such pressure tactics of anti social elements.
