IGAR (N) greets Angami community

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN):
Maj Gen Sandeep Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM, IGAR (N) and all ranks of Assam Rifles extends “very warm greetings to the people of Angami tribe on Sekrenyi festival”. Lt Col, R P Velu, (PRO), HQ IGAR (N) in a greeting message while wishing the tribe prosperity in all spheres and “endeavour to push towards everlasting peace” in the region the IGAR (N) also conveyed sincere prayers to the Almighty to “keep a benign eye on the Angami and the people of Nagaland to bring about peace, prosperity and tranquility in the days to come”.

ANFSA informs

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN):
All Nagaland Field Staff Association (PHED) had requested to those who had served 25 years length of service and above to submit photocopy of the appointment order with identity card to the president or general secretary on or before March 10. Moreover, February 23, the association held a meeting and elected the new office bearers for the tenure of five years. The elected office bearers are - N. Zhekugha Assumi as president, P moa Chang as vice president, Tsholo Ritse as general secretary and BB Rai as joint secretary. Further, it has informed to all the units’ district presidents and general secretary to attend the emergency meeting on March 10.

RCS notifies

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN):
The Registrar of Cooperative Societies T Imkonglemla has informed to all concerned in a press note to that the validity of Byelaws issued under the name and signature of the former Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) Km. M. Imtila Jamir shall stand valid only till March 31. No organization papers with Bye Laws under the signature of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies shall be accepted after the expiry of specified date.
 
Domestic LPG black marketer arrested

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN):
Dimapur police personnel acting on specific information about black-marketing of domestic LPG gas cylinders raided a house at Burma Camp and recovered 22 gas cylinders and 45 fake gas connection coupons from the accused identified as Raghunath Sahu who has reportedly confessed to selling the gas cylinders at ` 500/- per cylinder to his customers. A case under Essential Services Act has been registered against the accused, informed the additional superintendent of police, Dimapur in a press note.
 
AR seizes liquor
 
Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): A huge consignment of IMFL was seized by the troops of 24 Assam Rifles from a truck bearing R/No NL-07A 0805 on February 24, while conducting MVCP at Ghaspani area on NH-29. The driver and the co-driver of the truck have been arrested and handed over at Medziphema PS and a case was registered against them, informed the additional superintendent of police, Dimapur in a press note.
The accused have been identified as one Ajit Basumatary (24 yrs) S/o Lohit Basumatary from Maitabari village Assam and one Gopal Mahato (22 yrs) S/o Ram Chandra Mahato from Damodarpur, Bihar.
The seized liquor consists of about 880 cases of different brands of IMFL and was reportedly on its way to Imphal from Khatkatti. Further investigation is being carried on to nab the kingpins and also to ascertain the modus operandi employed in the transportation, the note said

GPRN/NSCN cadre arrested

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): One ‘SS’ Rajapeyu of GPRN/NSCN identified as Mhao Lotha (43 yrs) S/o Akhono Lotha from Shaki village, Wokha was arrested by the troops of 24 Assam Rifles from Burma Camp while conducting MVCP on February 25. The AR personnel recovered 15 rounds of 9 MM ammunition from his possession. A case has been registered at East PS in this connection.
