Dimensions book launch

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):
Dimensions Institute for Education & Research (DIER) will release its 33rd publication ‘IDIOMS & PHRASES’ on March 12, 2011 at its Naharbari Centre at 10:30 in the morning. The book will be released in the presence of all present and former students of Dimensions.  Authored by Noel Manuel, the book is a well conceived learning material based on the needs, analysis and assessments made of the students learning capabilities over the last many years, informed a press note.

MKUM mourn Kielie’s demise

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): 
The Mezo- Kuotsu Union, Mezoma mourned the sudden demise of  late Kielie Miasalhou, additional secretary to the Government of Nagaland, who is a bonafide member of the Union on February 22. Late Kielie Miasalhou served the Government of Nagaland in different capacities as an administrator and a bureaucrat. He had also served as the deputy commissioner Peren district during 2007-2008 and till his death, he was holding the post of additional secretary, labour and employment. The union in a note has conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family members.

NSCN/GPRN Zeliangrong Region bifurcation opposed

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):
The Zeliangrong Students’ Union  Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AZSU AMN) in its 3rd Dimki session 2010-11 ar Ze-Mnui (Yangkhullen) village Senapati District on February 24 had expressed its concern over the bifurcation of Zeliangrong Region (NSCN/GPRN) into three administrative region. The union in a press note issued by its general secretary Nchaheing Kompong stated that the house firmly resolved to oppose the move for separating the “united Zeliangrong family” which is totally against the wishes of the Zeliangrong people. Therefore, as per the Dimki resolution No6, the union decided to denounce the initiatives by the NSCN/GPRN authority and ceased co-operation in future.

AR towards computer literacy

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):
16 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 5 Sector Assam Rifles of HQ IGAR (North) presented three computers sets with peripherals to East View Home School, D Block (Kohima) with a view to enhance computer literacy among the children so that they can keep pace in computer handling and other skills. A press note issued by the AR said that speaking on the occasion Comdt 16 Assam Rifles emphasized the need of computers literacy and knowledge among young children so that young minds are confident and grow by exploiting the latest technologies in E-learning.

MLA Chishi mourns

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):
MLA KL Chishi has expressed shock and grief over the demise of Ihoshe Kinny Head GB of Lumami Village on February 27, 2011. Describing him as a great visionary leader and a patriarch of the Sumi community, KL Chishi stated that his death had brought a vacuum in the society. The MLA on behalf of his family expressed deep condolence to the bereaved family.

Vety dept Phek informs

Kohima, March 3 (DIPR):
The Veterinary & A. H. department, Phek has informed that the selection Committee is going to select the Beneficiaries under Live stock and Poultry Production units 2010-2011 on March 8 at 10 AM in DVO office, Phek. Therefore, those who have submitted the form with the terms and conditions forms are directed to appear before the selection committee on 8th March 2011 at 10 AM in DVO office positively, for which no calling letter will be served.
