Registration for Naga Wrestlemania, X-1 Fight Night begins

Registration has started for Naga Wrestlemania-7 and X-1 Fight Night (Mixed Martial Arts). The registration process for both the competitive events started on September 1 at the 3E office, Dzevi Building (2nd Floor), opposite UBC, located near the North Gate of the Kohima Local Ground.

 

The two events are part of 3E Nagaland’s Combat Sports Festival scheduled from October 22 to 27 at the Kohima Local Ground, Khuochiezie.

 

Naga WrestleMania 7 (King Of The Ring Series 2018) will take place on October 23. There will be two categories – Lightweight (74 Kg & Below) and Heavyweight (Above 74 Kg). Unlike the previous years, only preliminary rounds will be conducted on category (weight) basis. The last 16 from both the categories will be grouped together for the Round of 32 (16+16) to vie for the King Of The Ring Championship.

 

King Of The Ring 2018 champion will win a cash prize of Rs. 1,20,000 while runner-up will receive Rs. 60,000. The 3rd and 4th place winners will get Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively. The losing 4 will get Rs. 8000 each, losing 8 – Rs. 5000 each and losing 16 – Rs. 3000 each.

 

X-1 International (shortened x-1.in) MMA event will be held on October 26 and 27. The first night of this event will feature amateur fighters drawn from open registration. The fighters (amateurs), who perform well, will be identified for title fights in upcoming x-1 events. The second night will be the X-1 Championship Night featuring registered/ranked fighters vying for championship titles in different weight classes.

 

Fighters intending to compete must furnish name, age, weight, height, gym/team (if any), MMA record (if any)), state, city, email& contact number. Registration can also be done online at x-1.in.

 

Another feature of the festival will be the Nagaland Taekwondo League, which will be organised by the Nagaland Taekwondo Association details of which will be announced soon.
