Rengma churches connect at creative arts celebration

Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The Council of Rengma Baptist Churches, Youth Department (CRBCYD) organized a four day workshop on ‘Creative Arts Celebration’ under the theme ‘Inspire’ from May 2 to 5 at Tseminyu Town Baptist Church.


Altogether 305 delegates representing 42 Rengma churches under CRBC participated in the workshop.


The programme was organized with the aim to inspire young people to discover and develop their God gifted talents, which can be honed to make a living out of it.


Various courses were offered by experts in different operational fields that included Violin, Painting, Baking, Basket Making, Vocal class, Photography, Choir Conducting, Videography, Traditional Weaving, Music Composition, Sound Engineering and Guitar.


Training Coordinator and Resource persons were Nourhe Khate, Vikhor Tepa, Jenny Kath Thong, Kenilo Kent, Seyie Tepa, Ajeen Longchari Sucha, Lichan Humtsoe, Vimezo Iralu, Sanen Kichu, Arhinle Kent, James Shikiye Swu, Yevesa Phesao, Joey Woch, and Wapang Moa.


Sessions conducted during the course of the workshop were absorbing and informative, the release added.


Feedbacks of the participants assured that learning outcomes were well taken by the participants and would be implemented, which will go a long way in shaping the career of the youth.


The programme also witnessed worship celebration at every start of the day as well as at the close of the day. In this, Inspirational Speakers in the person of Apen Raman, Zakevi Kesen, Athong Khing, Meneno Mesen and Jonathan Mesen shared the word of God on different worship celebration with spirit filled and inspired messages.


Guest worship team from City Church Worship Team, Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill and Unified Worship Team took part and Acapella band – Dayspring were also part of the celebration.
