DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 29 (MExN): The Rengma Hoho today decided to call for an indefinite bandh under its jurisdiction starting January 3, 2018 onwards. A press note from the Rengma Hoho and the Rengma Selo Zi informed that this decision was taken during a consultative meeting held with all the frontal Rengma organizations at Tseminyu on December 29. The bandh is being called with regard to the demand for upgradation of Tseminyu into the status of a district. The press note said that the “Rengmas are dismayed as the state government continue to neglect the contribution of the community.” Administration on duty, para military, press media, ambulance with patients are exempted from purview of the bandh. Meanwhile, all the village youth organization presidents, range youth organization presidents and range student union presidents have been asked to attend a joint emergency meeting on December 31 at 2:00pm at Rengma Hoho office complex.
