Revoke suspension order of Asang Jamir: 2-Dimapur II A/C, 5 ACCCs & frontals

Dimapur, October 12 (MExN): The Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) 2-Dimapur II A/C today demanded that the NPCC revoke the suspension order of I Asang Jamir, President of ACCC 2-Dimapur-II, which appeared in The Morung Express on October 12.


In a rejoinder issued by ACCC 2-Dimapur II A/C, it stated that the videotaping clearly showed that Jamir was not involved on October 2 incident, and thus “assaulting Nagavito Swu does not arise.” In this regard, the ACCC, AMCC and AYC of 2-Dimapur-II demanded that suspension order be revoked and that NPCC apologize to Jamir for defaming him.


In another rejoinder, the 5 ACCCs and frontals stated the allegation made by the NPCC dragging the involvement of Jamir on the assault of Nagavito Swu was “totally a blunder and misleading.”


In its emergency meeting held on October 12 at District Congress Bhavan, the 5 ACCCs and frontals expressed anguish over the statement made by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), General Secretary (Admin) N Yona Konyak. 


The Dimapur District Congress party workers said it was shocked to learn that Jamir, “a humble innocent party loyalist” was dragged into the party crisis that cropped up on October 2. Sating that it was “immature and irresponsible” on the part of Konyak for defaming Jamir “without any fact findings,”  it demanded that NPCC revoke the suspension order and also tender unconditional apology through print media at the earliest.
