Rio donates ambulances to ENPO

Dimapur, January 17 (MExN): Nagaland Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio on January 16 donated an ambulance each to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) Dimapur unit and Kohima unit.  

In a brief remark before the handing over at Dimapur, the MP stated that by God’s grace, one ambulance each had already been donated to all the four districts of eastern Nagaland namely, Mon, Tuensang, Longleng and Kiphire and that two more were being donated to the Dimapur and Kohima Units of the ENPO. All 6 ambulances have been donated under MPLADS 2017-18.  

Rio urged upon the organisation and its respective units to utilise the ambulances well in order to help alleviate the hardships of the people. He hoped that it would contribute to the uplift and welfare of the people of the respective districts.  

The ENPO in this regard expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rio. “These ambulances would be a great help to the needy people who could not afford such services due to unavailability of ambulances and the high rates incurred when available,” ENPO President, Khoiwang Konyak stated.  

Speaking on behalf of the Kohima and Dimapur Units of the ENPO, the Dimapur Unit President, MC Ongbu Chang expressed deep appreciation to the MP for the humanitarian gesture and said that it will go a long way in helping the people tremendously. He further assured that the ambulances would be utilised for the welfare of the economically challenged sections.
