Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The Neiphiu Rio-led faction of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) has reminded party president Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu that the 15-day ultimatum to resign expires on August 13.
It further reminded Liezietsu to hand over the party properties “both movable and immovable” on or before August 13. “In the event of failure to comply to the directives, we shall be compel to initiate our own course of actions and the consequences and negative fallout if any, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu will be held accountable,” a statement from the Press and Information Cell of the group warned.
Pointing out that it commands an absolute 2/3 majority, the statement added that the directives was being issued “for strict compliances”.
“We sincerely hope that good sense will prevail and that the transition will take place smoothly and democratically,” it added.
