RSU general conference underway

Kohima, January 22 (MExN): The 40th General Conference of Rengma Students' Union (RSU) commenced with introductory programme at Whenha Sports Complex, Phenshünyu on January 22.

Hosted by Phenshünyu Lowjvu Students' Union (PLSU), the introductory guest, Awa Lorin, Deputy Chief Election Officer & President of Rengma Officers’ Forum emphasized on the importance of one’s own language and hoped on seeing the conference delegates joining the officers’ forum soon.

Lorin shared the three mantras that is ‘commitment, discovering oneself and to stay connected with God.’ The programme was chaired by Khitilo Wanth, President, Kandi Students Union, invocation by Hyusinlo Keppen, Pastor, Rumesinyu Baptist Church.

Introduction of units & sub-units of RSU was conducted by Speaker RSU, Hhanchulo Magh, a press release from RSU Vice President, Tenyebinlo Himb stated, while a song was presented by Shatilo Keppen. Andrew Kent presented the General Secretary report. The three-day conference will culminate on January 24.
