Rudy bats for yoga practice

Attributing the UN’s declaration of June 21 as the International Day of Yoga to the efforts of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Wednesday encouraged people to practice yoga in their daily lives.  

Participating in the International Day of Yoga at Exposition Hall, NER Agri Expo Site, Dimapur, Rudy expressed pleasure at the turnout of people even as the programme was organized within a short span of time. He said that the regular practice of yoga helps in promoting fitness of mind and body leading to a beautiful life. “Yoga is a skill of looking good, beautiful, smart and intelligent,” Rudy stated.  

Talking about the enthusiasm of Naga youngsters, the Union Minister said that the government would set up the best institutes in Nagaland whether it is in the beauty sector, hospitality, wellness etc. Rudy also stated that the government would facilitate sending abled Naga youths across the globe and make name for the nation.  

Scores of young and old attended the International Yoga Day and practiced yoga lessons.
