Rural Development Foundation Course ends

Kohima, December 2 (MExN): The Directorate of State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) conducted the 5th Batch of ‘Rural Development Foundation Course’ from September 18 to November 25, 2017.  

As per the Government policy, it is compulsory for all RD officers to undergo the Rural Development Foundation Course and clear the course, informed a press release from SIRD Senior Lecturer & Course Director, Dr. Kedise Pucho.  

The RD department had nominated 34 RD officers in the rank of RDO to Deputy Director, but only 27 officers were able to clear the course, according to the release. The officers were taken to Arunachal Pradesh as field trip and part of Course Work Assignment.  

At the valedictory function held on November 30 at SIRD conference hall, Orenthung Lotha, Joint Secretary, RD, Government of Nagaland encouraged the officers to be active and sincere in performing their duties.  

Chitsoru Vasa, BDO Shurhoto and Jenny Kath, RDO, RD department spoke on behalf of the officers. Course Director Dr Kedise Pucho chaired the programme.
