Peren, September 8 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa conducted Swachhta Bharat Abhiyan cleanliness drive at Punglwa Village on September 6. The village cleanliness drive was conducted as part of NCC related activities and guidelines issued by CBSE. More than 500 cadets from different classes participated in the cleanliness drive. The cleanliness drive was also organized in order to inculcate in the cadets work culture, team spirit, a sense of responsibility amongst the cadets and to keep ones surrounding healthy, clean and beautiful. The cadets cleaned village drains, footpaths, and road and picked all non biodegradable materials like polythene and other waste materials and gave a new face lift to the entire village. Banners carrying message to keep their surrounding neat and clean to avoid preventable diseases were also carried out. During cleanliness drive the team also sensitized the residence on how to keep their environment hygienic and pollution free.
