Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The sports and cultural teams of Sainik School Punglwa participated in a week long Inter Sainik Schools East Zone Sports & Co curricular Championship held from July 10 to 13 at Sainik School Purulia and for the first time in the history of SS Punglwa, the school Junior football team won the coveted football trophy. The team now will play the Zonal Inter-Sainik School Championship to be held at Sainik School Nagrota, Jammu. All together, 72 cadets guided by Dailee Mao (Asst Master Art) and CHM Reneesh K (PTI) participated in the event which is conducted annually in one of the four Sainik Schools in the East Zone. In basketball, hockey, Sub Junior Football and cultural competition, the school stood runners up.
