Sainik School Punglwa plants trees

Peren, June 25 (MExN): In an endeavour to sensitise cadets on the value of tree plantation and the need to save environment, Sainik School Punglwa organised a tree plantation drive on June 24 in the school.  

More than 240 tree saplings were planted in the school’s vicinity, according to a press release from the school.  

Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, the principal of the school initiated the drive and encouraged the cadets to take pragmatic steps towards improving the quality of environment for future generation and to make the world a greener place to live in.  

The principal along with teachers and cadets inclined towards the environment planted the tree saplings, the release added.  

The school further thanked Dr. Sentitula, Divisional Forest Officer, Peren Division for providing tree saplings to the school.
